Toronto is slowly starting to challenge Atlanta for the title of being the number one hotbed of hip-hop newest stars with both cities producing the latest crazes in the genre seemingly overnight time after time and it seem like “The 6ix” is about to put more points on the board with the emergence of KILLY. At 20-years old, KILLY made a splash on the scene when he dropped “Killamanjaro”. The infectious energy he brings baits you in and once you’re on the hook he reels the line in with his well-crafted delivery that serves as the icing on the cake to his sound.
Though KILLY is often compared to Travis Scott because of some similarities in their sound and A$AP Rocky for his aesthetic, KILLY brings his own flavor that innately fits and blends together well. KILLY would go on to release videos to “Distance” & “No Romance” which was produced by rising producer 16yo adding more discussion to his name and earning him a co-sign from a few big names.
With the numbers he’s been racking up with youtube videos, SoundCloud plays and Spotify streams without having a major feature appear on his track you can’t deny that he has raw talent, mix that with his well put together aesthetic and in no time Killy will go from a bubble phenom to household name.
